CarMax Free Fourth of July at Lewis Ginter

Lewis Ginter offers over 50 acres of botanical gardens, as well as dining and shopping. With dozens of themed gardens featuring gorgeous flowers and plants, there is plenty to explore here! On the Fourth of July, visitors will receive free admission from 9 am to 5 pm! CarMax sponsors this event, and admission includes access to the M&T Bank RESTORE: The Healing Power of Nature exhibit. Enjoy a meal at the Garden Cafe or the Robins Tea House after exploring the beautiful gardens. You won’t want to miss this fun and free event!

Hardywood Crushfest

On July 4th, from 2 pm to 9:30 pm, head to Hardywood West Creek for the Hardywood Crushfest! This event celebrates one of their fan-favorite beers, the Suncrush. This low-cal, gluten-reduced beer is light, refreshing, and perfect for summer. At Crushfest, they’ll even have some exclusive Suncrush flavors on draft for you to try. There will be live music all day including performances by Three Sheets to the Wind, and if you get hungry, you can stop by one of their food trucks. Fourth of July Celebration at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds

Head to the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds for their Fourth of July Celebration presented by Virginia Credit Union! Enjoy concessions like Papa John’s Pizza, Strawberry Street Events, and Kona Ice. Additionally, there will be music by The Deloreans, an 80s cover band. When it gets dark, enjoy a spectacular firework show! Watch the Flying Squirrels at the Diamond

One of the best ways to spend the Fourth of July is at a baseball game! Head into the city to The Diamond to watch the Flying Squirrels take on the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at 6:05 pm. The gates open at 4:30 pm, so head over before the game to enjoy some pregame entertainment by Joe the Spy. After the game, enjoy one of the region’s largest firework displays! Independence Day at Independence

Located about 10 minutes from Center West, stop by Independence Golf Club for their Fourth of July celebration! Their lawn offers gorgeous sunset views overlooking the course. Head to the lawn to enjoy live music, food, and drinks! They’ll end the night with a beautiful display of fireworks. This event is free, but you can buy a parking pass for parking in the main lot.
